Science Literacy Week Activities at Queen’s University Library

We are pleased to announce our event schedule to celebrate Science Literacy Week at Queen’s. We hope you will come celebrate science as we show our appreciation for the fantastic insights, inventions and ideas that shape our world.

Queen’s University, September 19 – 23, 2016

Monday, September 19

  • 8:30 am – 11 pm    Science Book Display

Location: Douglas Library, first floor

  • 1:30 – 2:30 pm   Tour of Anatomy Museum

Location: 15 Arch Street, 3rd floor, School of MedicineDr. Stephen Pang will conduct the tour.

Due to the sensitive nature of the displays, attendees must be 16 years of age or older.

 

Tuesday, September 20

  • 8:30 am – 11 pm    Science Book Display

Location: Douglas Library, first floor

  • 12:30 – 1:30 pm   Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) demo

Location: Stauffer Library, atrium.  

Presented by Francine Berish, Geospatial Data Librarian.   Drop in.

  • 3 – 4 pm   Online Anatomy Resources Demo

Location: 18 Stuart Street, Bracken Health Sciences Library, Botterell Hall, main floor.  

Presented by Sarah Wickett, Health Informatics Librarian. Drop in.
