Applications will be assessed on a first come, first served basis.
You must return the carrel key to the Office of the Vice-Provost and University Librarian when your assigned period has expired. A $100 lock replacement charge will be added to student SOLUS accounts and faculty accounts if the key is not returned at the end of the assignment period.
Books kept in the locked bin must be signed out in the normal way. Failure to sign out books or the storing of journals will result in the loss of the assigned space.
Visiting scholars, Queen’s faculty on sabbatical who do not have an office in a department and require access to a substantial number of library materials for their research; Post-doctoral and doctoral students who do not have office space and require access to a substantial number of Humanities and Social Sciences library materials; Master’s level students in Humanities and Social Sciences.
There are two assignment periods: September to April and May to August
