How to log in to the room booking system?

Choose a library and enter your Queen's Student/Staff Number, from the front of your student/staff card, in the pop-up box and click on the Submit button. The system will log you out if you do not use it for more than 5 minutes. To log back in, click on the Menu in the top left of the screen and click on Login.  read more »

Where are the bookable rooms?

Rooms available for booking by students and faculty are indentified on the library floor plans. Rooms that are bookable, but Unavailable at a particular date and time, are coloured blue. Rooms Available for booking are coloured yellow. Booked rooms are coloured red.

Who can book rooms?

Current Queen's students, faculty and staff. Before logging in, you can scroll through the Queen's libraries, dates and time. You can also see which rooms are booked. To view rooms available for booking and to book a room you have to log in.

Can I eat food and drink beverages in the library?

The general policy of Queen's University Library is to allow food and drink within reason and small quantities, with the exception of Library areas housing special print collections and/or computer equipment.

Can I reserve study space in Stauffer? I'm a graduate student.

Graduate students can book study rooms for either individual or group work. In addition to the study rooms, there is a group graduate study room available in Stauffer Library.

Stauffer Library also has a limited number of lockable carrels for graduate students. Ask for an application at the circulation desk.

How do I book a room?

  • Select a Library: scroll through the Queen's libraries with bookable group study rooms using the arrow buttoms beside the Library name.

  • Select a date & time: scroll through the rooms by date and hour-by-hour using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen. Calendar Option: the date can be selected via a calendar by clicking on the "Calendar" button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Select a room: click on a room to pop up its booking schedule.  read more »

What are the user limits when booking group study rooms?

Each student and faculty member has a maximum number of bookable hours available for each academic term. To see the Library policies on room booking, click here. Your account is reset to your maximum allotted hours at the start of each academic term.

What does "unavailable" mean when booking a group study room?

Any time slice in the schedule that is blue can't be booked. However, this can mean several things: it could mean that the building is closed or that you have used up all your available booking hours (for either that day, or for the semester).

Click on any blue squares if you're unsure why they're blue, and the system will pop up a message telling you why you can't book the room at that time.

When are group study rooms available for booking?
