How do I pay my library fines?

See Paying Fines & Fees for detailed information. In brief:

  • Students pay their library fines through the University Registrar (using the same payment methods you would use to pay your tuition and other university fees).
  • Non-students (faculty, staff, community members) can pay at the circulation desk, or by mail. 

 

Can I eat food and drink beverages in the library?

The general policy of Queen's University Library is to allow food and drink within reason and small quantities, with the exception of Library areas housing special print collections and/or computer equipment.

Can I print from my own laptop?

Yes, you can!

Can I return books to any library on campus?

Yes, you can return books to any library on campus. Please consult Campus Book Drop-Off Service for a list of items not eligible for this service.

Does the Library have copies of textbooks?

In general, the Library does not purchase textbooks.

How do I cite information in my essay?

How much does printing cost?

Printing charges - see Library Printing Facilities for more information:

  • Standard black & white printing: $0.10 per page
  • Colour printing (available in Stauffer, Douglas and the Education Libraries): $0.60 per page

 

Where can I connect my laptop to the Internet?

Consult the appropriate Library maps (posted on a bulletin board within each Library) showing the general locations of the "live" data jacks.
