Wired and Wireless Internet Access

Wireless is available throughout the building, with a few exceptions. Consult the Map for details and for specific locations of wired jacks. Alternatively, find the locations of 'live' jacks by consulting the map on the pillar in the centre of the Library. When you get to the location indicated on the map, look for the jack labelled LAPTOP JACK.

Visit How to Connect your Laptop to the Internet for locations, requirements, trouble-shooting tips, and information about wired and wireless networks.

To connect to the Secure Wireless Network you will first need to set up your computer's network software. For instructions, select your Operating System from the list at the bottom of the Wireless Networking page.

Use Wireless Via Eduroam: This service allows students, staff, and faculty from Canadian educational institutions to access the Internet while visiting other member universities. To access, users use credentials from their home institution. It is recommended that Queen's users configure their laptops at Queen's before travelling. Configure your browser & more information.
