Description MathSciNet is the American Mathematical Society's web-searchable database providing access to the AMS's two publications: Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications. Date Coverage:   1940 - present Subject coverage:   Mathematics, statistics, computer science, mathematically-related research in physics, engineering and other disciplines. Summary: Mathematical Reviews:   Fulltext of all reviews published since 1940. In addition, includes items listed in MR's annual indexes but not given an individual review. Current Mathematical Publications:   Subject index of bibliographic data (only) for recent and forthcoming publications. Most items are later reviewed in Mathematical Reviews, at which point the record in CMP is withdrawn and replaced by the appropriate review in MR. Additional linkages: Reviews also include links directly to the reviewed article's fulltext, where available online and where Queen's has licensed access to the corresponding electronic journal (e.g. journals published by Academic Press, Springer, JSTOR). Linking also occurs in the reverse direction (e.g. IOP journals include links from their article references to the corresponding MathSciNet entry).

Access Access is via the Web and is restricted as follows: to connections from the Queen's campuses to Queen's students, faculty and staff connecting through the Queen's dial-in modem service to Queen's students, faculty and staff connecting through the Queen's Webproxy Service.
