Share the Space @ Stauffer Library
Library patrons have been leaving personal belongings at computer workstations and study cubicles to 'reserve' the space as they come and go throughout the day. This is frustrating to other patrons since it ties up valuable space and equipment, making it unavailable to them. During our peak times, when there is a high demand on our resources, there are simply not enough computers and study spaces to meet the demand.
For everyone's sake, we need to Share the Space!
Starting September 2006, personal belongings left unattended for an extended period of time at a Library computer, study table or cubicle will be removed by library security and placed on the floor next to the space. The equipment and/or study space in question will then be available to the next person waiting.
