The latest SciFinder update includes the following:
  • "Remember Me" option that allows you to remain logged in for seven days (unless you sign out);
  • User interface enhancements that allow you to manipulate and navigate answer sets more quickly;
  • Improved SciFinder help options.

New: Chemical Sensors: Comprehensive Sensor Technologies, Volumes 1-6

Chemical Sensors: Comprehensive Sensor Technologies is a new six volume encyclopedia-handbook published by Momentum Press.

New OA Journal: Energy Science & Engineering

Wiley and the Society of Chemical Industry have launched a new peer-reviewed open access journal called Energy Science & Engineering. The journal aims to publish "papers on fundamental and applied research on energy supply and use". Queen's geography professor Warren Mabee is a member of the editorial board.

ACS Introduces Reference Quickview

ACS has introduced a new feature called Reference Quickview that allows readers of ACS journals and books to view text of abstracts of cited references. Reference Quickview is available for articles/chapters published after 2010. Some abstracts for references in articles published from 1996 through 2010 may be viewable if they were cited in another article published after 2010.

2011 Journal Citation Reports Now Available

The 2011 edition of Journal Citation Reports is now available. JCR now covers more than 10,100 journals from over 2,600 publishers in approximately 238 disciplines from 84 countries.

SciFinder Enhancements

SciFinder now includes one-click access to commercial chemical source pricing and availability information. Experimental procedure information has also been expanded with data from German and Japanese patents from 2008 forward and Taylor & Francis journals from 1998 forward.

New Journal: RSC Biomaterials Science

The Royal Society of Chemistry today announced a new journal called Biomaterials Science. The journal is a collaboration between RSC and the Institute for Integrated Cell-Materials Sciences, Kyoto University, Japan. The journal will publish articles on topics ranging from "the fundamental science of biomaterials to their biomedical applications". Article submission opens in March and the first advanced articles are expected in August.

Chemical Engineering Education Journal Archive

Back issues of the journal Chemical Engineering Education from 1962-2010 are now freely available from the University of Florida Libraries. Future issues will be added after a one-year rolling embargo period.
