18th Century British Political Pamphlets Collection Digitized
Posted: January 12th, 2010More than 2,200 pamphlets in the collection have now been digitized and are available full text via QSpace.
The range of coverage extends from 1642, through the Civil War period, the Standing Army Controversy, the struggles for reform in the late 1700s, and the Reform Bill of 1832.
Before the development of general, non-partisan newspapers, the pamphlet was the most important medium for public discussion for a wide range of issues.
