Queen’s University librarians in Bangladesh

Posted: April 12th, 2014

Queen’s University health sciences librarians Paola Durando and Suzanne Maranda are in Bangladesh April 4-16 on a library development project. See photos on the Bracken Health Sciences Library facebook page.

The project is taking place at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed-Bangladesh Health Professions Institute in Savar. With colleague Mohesana Mosammet, participants from allied health programs are learning to navigate e-resources via an e-library.

Under the auspices of the Queen’s International Centre for the Advancement of Community-Based Rehabilitation, the project is funded by the Southeast Asia Assn. for Regional Cooperation. In providing resources and services for a new Master of Rehabilitation Science program which will get underway in July, the e-library also strengthens all allied health programs at the Centre.
