New QCAT Feature!

At a suggestion from the Queen’s Alma Mater Society (AMS) we have implemented the ability to text a call number and title to you cell phone from the catalogue and have released it this week in its Beta phase for public testing.

If there is a call number you should see a link ‘Text me this Book Location’  just below ‘Show on Floorplan’ on the Full Record View of an item. If there is no call number there should be no link.

Clicking the link will allow you to enter your cell number and choose your provider. Submitting the form will send the title, call number, location and an optional note to your cell phone. Neither your cell phone number nor your service provider are saved or stored on the library’s server.

NOTE: you will be responsible for any charges or fees levied by your service provider for receiving the incoming text message. We welcome your feedback about this feature. Submit feedback by clicking this link.
