The Internet Archive Scribe Table-Top Book Scanner
Posted: August 25th, 2015Introducing the Internet Archive Table-Top Scribe
Processing for E-reserve fall term courses is well underway, and we now have an “Internet Archive Table-Top Scribe” Book Scanner to help with the process.
The scribe facilitates the creation of high quality scans of books, journal issues and large format objects like maps. It is also designed in a way that allows for “worry-free, safe and non-destructive digitization for both bound and unbound items.”

The scribe was generously donated to us by the Queen’s Campus bookstore. It will be a useful tool for services like electronic reserves and library services for students with disabilities, as well as for major digitization projects.
