Web Redesign – New Design, part 2
Posted: July 8th, 2016As a continuation of our last post about the new design, here are a few more designs:
All Locations & Hours Page
- Integrated map with quick access to hours, directions (via Google Maps), floorplans, and study space
- Open/Closed indicators for each location
- Detailed hours for each location and each information desk contained within. The hours will scroll forward and back to show a week at a time.
- Special Notices section visible across all locations
Print Collections Page
- Highlights our print and material collections with associated images
- Filters for subject (e.g. History), type (e.g. Pamphlets), and location (e.g. Bracken Health Sciences Library) which can be combined
- Single record view for each collection will give more detail
Research by Subject Page
- Landing page for each academic subject at Queen’s
- Quick access to related guides, databases, journals, and featured collections
- Ability to contact both units and individuals using the Subject Specialists box
- Integrated news & events
