Stauffer Library Changes
Posted: August 30th, 2006Implementation of plans for the Queen’s Learning Commons continue on the first floor of Stauffer Library…
- Now: Current periodicals have moved to the south end of the second floor. New soft seating in this area will arrive soon.
- Sep.5: ITServices support and research help will both be offered at a new information desk. It looks unfinished, because it is — we’re testing a temporary structure to see how it works before finalizing the design.
- Sep.11: Library Services for Students with Disabilities (formerly Special Readers’ Services) will move from Douglas Library into the new Adaptive Technology Centre, located just inside the entrance to Stauffer.
- Sep.11-15: New soft seating and a portable podium will complete the Speakers’ Corner at the north end of the atrium, a space for Queen’s Learning Commons events and comfortable reading.
