Patents are a significant and increasingly important source of scientific and technical information, much of which is not published in journals. Patent information is also crucial to making informed decisions about new research projects and business opportunities.
This workshop will teach you how to search and retrieve international patent information in public patent databases. You will learn how to find patents by inventor name, company and technology. Demonstrated search strategies will cover clean energy, biotechnology and green chemistry. Legal status and ownership information will also be discussed.
For more information, please contact Michael White at michael.white@queensu.ca.
Register online. Registration is limited to 25.
