Summer Reference Service in EngSci

Reference service at the Engineering & Science Library will be changing this summer. Weekday reference hours will change to 11:00am – 3:00pm from May 2 to May 13.
From May 16th to August 19th reference and research services will be available by appointment on weekdays with individual reference staff: there will not be set drop-in reference hours. Withdrawal of CIHR Clinical Trials Policy

The Canadian Institute for Health Research has recently withdrawn its Policy on registration and results disclosure of controlled and uncontrolled trials funded by CIHR. The policy was posted on the CIHR website on December 20, 2010 and was removed in the second last week of March. An-Wen Chan, co-author of the Ottawa Statement on Principles and Implementation of Clinical Trial Registration and Results Reporting, remarks that the policy was “was leading the drive towards increasing transparency” in health sciences research.

Bracken Library is collecting donations for the food bank until April 20 (Wednesday).

For every nonperishable food donation, you will receive a chocolate Easter egg and a chance to guess the amount of Eggs & Kisses in the jar. The closest guess wins. Good luck!

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses – Full Text

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses now offers full text for most of the dissertations and theses added since 1997 and strong retrospective coverage for older works. Citations are provided since 1861 and abstracts since 1980.

Queen’s theses since 1997 are also available in full-text and can be searched as a subset of the Dissertations and Theses database.
