Primary sources are first-hand accounts, original manuscripts, or documents produced at the time of the event. Examples include letters, diaries, newspaper articles, photographs, speeches, interviews, government documents, historical records, and personal papers. We have rich collections of primary source materials in print, microform and electronic formats.
Also refer to the appropriate subject guide to locate relevant primary sources.
There is no single comprehensive database of primary sources, therefore you will need to explore different search tools (e.g. QCAT, web search engines, WorldCAT to name a few) and strategies to locate resources of interest. For more information, go to the Primary Sources guide.
