Federalism-E
Federalism-E is an electronic student journal about federalism and multi-level governance put forth in collaboration between l’Université Laval and Queen’s University. This annual journal will publish papers by undergraduate students, which are reviewed by an editorial board composed of their peers, in both English and French languages.It is a bilingual, undergraduate electronic journal about federalism with a mandate to provide a forum to encourage research and scholarly debate with respect to a wide variety of issues concerning federalism, such as political philosophy, multi-level governance and inter-governmental relations. Research conducted spans a wide variety of issues and promulgates a similar variety of opinions. The journal's aim is to create an atmosphere of debate and investigation to highlight the multi-faceted study of federalism and the utility in doing so.

Encounters on Education
Encounters/Encuentros/Rencontres on Education is the Journal of The Theory and History of Education International Research Group (THEIRS) and is housed in and published by the Faculty of Education, Queen’s University in cooperation with the Faculty of Education, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. It began publication in the fall of 2000 as both a printed and an open access journal. Rosa Bruno-Jofré (Queen’s University) and Gonzalo Jover (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) are its founding co-editors.
It is a peer reviewed thematic, digital, open trilingual journal (English, Spanish, and French) that from the start attempted to generate a critical dialogue on history and educational theory among educational researchers from Canada, Spain and Latin American in light of the globalizing context of education. The scope has been enlarged beyond those boundaries in terms of contributions and the journal encourages an interdisciplinary dialogue having as center theory and history of education.

Immediate Science Ecology
Immediate Science Ecology is an editorial-reviewed, open-access, electronic journal published at Queen’s University. Opportunity for post-publication peer review and detailed download statistics are provided. Undergraduate honor’s students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows publish free of charge.
The primary goal of Immediate Science Ecology (ISE pronounced ‘eyes’) is to accelerate the rate of discovery in ecology. This can be achieved through at least the three following pathways: discovery, documentation, and development. All submissions are first identified as empirical or review. Then, accordingly, the authors must identify both in the submission and in the keywords whether the article is forwarding ecology via discovery (preliminary or exploratory study), documentation (confirmatory study or refutation of previous studies), or development (a standard study). The former two instances accelerate discovery in ecology by providing both the substrate for additional research developments and an accurate picture of the research conducted to date to the community so as to avoid repetition by others of work formerly unpublished and largely unknown. The latter category enhances synthesis and research by providing a niche for studies that need to be published very quickly so as to inform the community or public about important findings. Any level of biological organization including humans is considered.
ISE is searchable though Google Scholar, and by using any Open Archives Initiative (OAI) compliant metadata harvester. Google Scholar also tracks number of citations and lists citations for articles published herein.

Proceedings of Science Open Reviewed is an open-access, electronic journal — run by researchers for researchers — providing rapid, low cost publication of discovery in the natural and health sciences. Proc SciOR is published at Queen’s University, Canada, where — for its advisory editorial board — it draws from the Queen’s community of over 250 researchers within the natural and health sciences — including Behaviour and Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical and Molecular Science, Chemistry, Earth System and Geographic Information Science, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, and Physics and Astronomy.
Proc SciOR accepts submissions that are open peer-reviewed (non-blind) from authors registered with Science Open Reviewed. Submissions therefore are already peer-reviewed and accompanied by reviewer reports — also registered with Science Open Reviewed. Papers are published online as primary articles immediately following editor evaluation of reviewer reports and routine screening for fraud check and reviewer conflicts of interest, plus any revision necessary to meet the journal’s formatting requirements and standards of quality for English and data (e.g. figure) presentation. Post-publication peer-review is also supported, where logged-in users can post comments on individual articles.
Author fees — currently only CAN $100, but waived for 2013 — are collected for cost recovery only, thus helping to maximize author funds available to support front-line research costs (rather than the profit margins of commercial publishers).
Reviewers for primary articles are also registered with Science Open Reviewed, and have their identities disclosed within the published article. They are also invited to submit a commentary (response paper / opinion piece) inspired by their review of the published Proc SciOR article, or by their review of an article (wherein they are acknowledged as a reviewer) published in any other journal. These reviewer commentaries are reviewed by Advisory Editors of Proc SciOR, who may also consult with external reviewers. No author fees are charged for publication of reviewer commentaries that respond to primary articles published in Proc SciOR.
