Books24x7: How to Connect
Access to Books24x7 is restricted to current Queen's students, faculty and staff.
Note: you will be prompted to enter your NetID, regardless of whether you are located on campus or not.
Books24x7 Personal Folders and Bookmarks:
In June 2010, the authentication method for Books24x7 has changed:
- Before June 2010: In order to access Books24x7, you had to register for a personal Books24x7 account
- After June 2010: You can access Books24x7 directly using your Queen's NetID
Long-time Books24x7 Users:
If you used Books24x7's various personalization features (personal folders, bookmarks) before June 2010, your old personal folders and bookmarks will not be immediately available via a NetID login. But your folders are not lost forever! Please perform the process below to restore your personal folders and bookmarks.
How to Restore Old Books24x7 Personal Folders and Bookmarks:
- Login to Books24x7 using your NetID
- Click the "Settings" tab
- Under "User Information", fill in your email address. Note: this must match the email address used for your old Books24x7 personal account. This step connects your old account to the new Books24x7 NetID login.
- Wait 1 hour. Your old personal folders and bookmarks should now be available in Books24x7 via NetID login.
Please complete this process before September 2010.
