Scifinder is research software owned and licensed to universities by CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society). The purpose of the software is to provide students, faculty and researchers with a powerful interface for searching Chemical Abstracts and other CAS databases. The software also includes access to the substructure module (SSM) which enables the researcher to explore possibilities with structures.
