American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

As an association of health information management (HIM) professionals, AHIMA is dedicated to the effective management of personal health information needed to deliver quality healthcare to the public. Founded in 1928 to improve the quality of medical records, AHIMA is committed to advancing the HIM profession in an increasingly electronic and global environment through leadership in advocacy, education, certification, and lifelong learning.

American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA)

With members ranging from physicians and nurses to librarians and educators, AMIA focuses on the development and application of medical informatics in the support of patient care, teaching, research, and health care administration.

American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA)

ANIA's mission is to provide networking, education and information resources that enrich and strengthen the roles of nurses in the broad field of informatics, from clinical information to education and administration decision support.

COACH

As Canada's health informatics association, COACH is dedicated to promoting a clear understanding of health informatics within the Canadian health system through education, information, networking and communication.

International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA)

Comprised of National Member Societies and Institutional Members, IMIA works toward the advancement of international cooperation to promote informatics in healthcare and biomedical research, and stimulate research, development and education.
