Search Service for Missing Books
Library patrons are encouraged to notify Library staff about books which, according to QCAT, should be on the shelf but cannot be located. Library staff will search for the missing item(s) and contact the borrower when/if the item is found.
Procedure
Before submitting a search request, be sure that you have noted the item's specific location as indicated in QCAT. Also check the book sorting area (or areas, in the case of Stauffer and Douglas Libraries), as well as the book return area adjacent to most circulation desks. If the item is still missing, complete a "missing book search request" form available at each campus library service desk.
