BOOKING POLICY FOR GROUP STUDY ROOMS IN STAUFFER LIBRARY

All patrons using the Library's group study facilities are expected to adhere to Queen's Library policies and Code of Behaviour.

General

  • All advance booking of Stauffer Library group study rooms must be made using the Library's Online Room Booking System.
  • If not booked online, rooms are considered open study spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All booked groups take priority over non-booked groups. In any disputes over rooms, whatever is the Online Room Booking System wins!
  • Rooms are available for booking during Library open hours only.   Exception:   rooms cannot be booked online beyond midnight, even if the Library is open until a later hour.
  • Rooms are not available for booking by non-Queen's individuals or groups.
  • Persons using a room should ensure, before leaving, that the room is tidy and all furniture left as originally set up.

Students

  • Only registered Queen's students are permitted to book rooms.
  • Each student has a room booking allotment of 20 hours per term.
  • Each booking session is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.

Faculty and Staff

  • Only Queen's University faculty or staff members are permitted to book rooms.
  • Each faculty/staff member has a room booking allotment of 30 hours per term.
  • Each booking session is limited to a maximum of 5 hours.
