Software

Catalogue the title as described in the section on Multimedia Materials--Print and Software.

The Education Library makes its own backup copies of software. Catalogue the original software copy in hand only. The Education Library will subsequently make their own circulating copies, barcode them, and alter the copy holdings records as necessary. (If you happen to receive an extra copy of the software, send it to Education, but do not record it on line.)

Books and Audiovisual Material

Catalogue the material as described in the section on Multimedia Materials. Send it to Processing to label. Then forward the items to the Education Library for further processing--the assignment of shelf numbers, barcoding, labelling and updating of the holdings records.

If the primary format of the item is the nonbook material, do not catalogue the item. Instead, send it directly to the Education Library for processing.
