NASA Aeronatics and Space Administration
The NASA Image eXchange (NIX) is a web-based search engine for searching one or more of NASA's online multimedia collections. Searching is performed using keywords. NIX returns thumbnail sized images, textual descriptions, image numbers, links to higher resolution images, and links to the organization that stores each image.

National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII)
Images associated with plant and animal species, scenic landscapes, wildlife management, and biological study/fieldwork. Browse subject categories or search for specific images. Each image's metadata record contains valuable information about the image, i.e. scientific name, description, location, etc.
