Update on Databases
Web of Science
The latest
version of Web of Science
(Science Citation Index) saves each search statement as a set,
allowing you to refine your queries, combine cited reference searches with
key word searches, eliminate self citations, and save your searches to
rerun them as current awareness alerts
IEEE Xplore - E-mail alerts
You
can create email alerts through IEEE Xplore to receive
email notices of new issues of IEEE journals. Each email contains a direct
link to the issue’s latest table of contents - you can sign up for as many
journal titles as you wish.
IEEE Xplore - Citation linking By selecting the "Documents
that cite this document" link within the abstract record, you can get the
list of IEEE documents that cite the document you're viewing. The listed
document titles contain hyperlinks so you can further link to the abstract
or full-text PDF of those IEEE documents within IEEE Xplore®. Combined
with the reference linking feature, IEEE Xplore® provides backward and
forward access to IEEE documents that cite each other.
New Online Encyclopedia
The Encyclopedia of Materials: Science and Technology is now available
online.
It provides comprehensive coverage on this subject, and includes a
link showing the 'Latest content update'. Accessible from library, home or
office.
