Queen's University Libraries welcome you to the 27th Workshop on Instruction in Library Use (WILU). This annual conference offers sessions in both English and French and traditionally moves between Quebec and Ontario each year.
The workshop is offered to over one hundred library and information specialists active in university and college instruction programmes. Participants and speakers come from Canada, the United States, and Europe.
This year's theme, Libraries at the Heart of Learning, will address the transformation of research libraries into learning organizations and how this evolution is changing our teaching role and the way we teach others and ourselves. Topics for papers and poster sessions include: techniques for offering new forms of course-integrated instruction and how to evaluate them; research on what faculty and students feel the library should be teaching; and models for fostering librarians as leaders in the learning process as a whole.
