Bookmarks: An Author Talk With Jack Wang

Queen's University Library, in partnership with Kingston Frontenac Public Library are excited to host Canada Reads author Jack Wang on Wednesday May 4 from 6:30-7:30 pm. This virtual event is free, and anyone interested can register to attend through the KFPL website

Wang is the author of the 2020 short story collection We Two Alone, focusing on the Asian diaspora in Canada and beyond. The book was longlisted for Canada Reads 2022, and won the 2020 Danuta Gleed Literary Award. 

The Miramichi Reader had high praise for the book and Wang's literary talents: "We Two Alone is a thoroughly engaging volume of short fiction by an exceptionally talented author. These are near flawless tales of personal struggle and modern angst: deeply empathetic, humane stories by a writer whose command of form and technique is unfailing."

The event will feature a reading from We Two Alone, a discussion of Jack's creative process, and a Q&A session open to audience members.
