Join us at Scholars Portal Day 2021

Event Date:
May 3, 2021
Event Location:

Join Queen’s University Library Reference Assistants Amy Rutherford and Carling Spinney for the Scholars Portal Day lighting talk, "Evolving with Chat: Strengthening our Service During a Pandemic". The talk will examine how chat, a part of the suite of Ask Us library services, has evolved and was strengthened during the pandemic because of the increasing reliance on virtual library help. The presentation will discuss team-building and communication among chat operators, strategic staffing hours within the home-team-first model, initiatives for further chat promotion, and future assessment plans.

This talk will be held over Zoom, on Thursday, May 6th, 2021, 9:10-10 am EST, as a part of several lighting talks and speakers during Scholar’s Portal Day.

Scholar’s Portal Day is available to anyone who works at an OCUL library and would like to register. Registrants will be sent an email link to access this talk and others.

The Scholars Portal Day agenda and more information is available on the Scholars Portal Website.
