Library Seeks Input for Renovations

Queen’s University Library (QUL) is seeking input from students, staff, faculty, and the local community in preparation for renovations to the ground floor of Joseph S. Stauffer Library. Beginning this week until September 14, 2022 patrons are invited to complete a survey where they can indicate their preferences and opinions on elements such as services, furnishings, technology, and library spaces. Survey participants are also encouraged to provide suggestions and feedback in their own words in the final section of the survey.

Seeking input from across our stakeholder communities will allow QUL to make informed, responsive decisions in preparation for, and throughout the progression of the renovations for Stauffer’s ground floor. The upcoming renovations are also aligned with the principles of the Library and Archives Master Plan (LAMP) published in 2013, which “outlines a planning framework that envisions over the next 20 years a transformed library system at Queen’s, built upon its solid foundation of superb services, collections, and spaces”.

We are excited to know how we can improve what has become a landmark space on campus toward a welcoming, and wholly optimized library experience for current and future patrons. QUL is grateful to all community members on and off campus for completing the survey and providing their valuable input for this important project.
