Martha Whitehead elected to COAR Executive Board
At the Annual Meeting of COAR (Confederation of Open Access Repositories) Vice-Provost (Digital Planning) and University Librarian Martha Whitehead was elected to the Executive Board for a three-year term. Martha joins four members who will remain for a second term, providing continuity from previous years, and three other new members who will bring us fresh perspectives and wider regional representation. There are now board members from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
COAR is a young association that unites organisations from across the world. Its core mission is to enhance visibility and application of research outputs through global networks of Open Access digital repositories. Moreover, COAR aims to enable every citizen in the world to get access to – and be able to benefit from – knowledge produced from publicly-funded research.
