Nov 5: Road to CEO with David McKay

On November 5th, the President and CEO of RBC, David McKay, will be visiting Queen’s University. David is coming on campus to speak about his career story at RBC. From starting as an intern, to climbing his way to CEO, David encountered many challenges and risks that he will share with the Queen’s population. RBC is the largest bank in Canada. Learn the story of the individual responsible for its success. David joined RBC in 1983 as a co-op student working as a COBOL programmer in the IT department. Over the next several decades, David climbed through various departments and positions at RBC, becoming President and CEO in 2014. This event is hosted at Grant Hall, Queen’s University, on November 5th. The event will start at 5:00pm. This event will include a hybrid in-person and virtual dynamic. The in-person part will invite 108 students to view live from inside Grant Hall. In-person attendees must apply to watch the event from Grant Hall.

In addition to the in-person component, all interested students and faculty members are invited to watch the event through a live virtual livestream.
