Principal to Recognize Faculty Authors

Post Date:

The Principal's Faculty Author Celebration is slated for March 30, 2022. If you, or a member of your Faculty/Department published a monograph in 2021, the library would like to hear about it. Queen's University Library (QUL) compiles an annual list of Queen's monographs authored by Queen’s faculty, librarians and archivists, and library staff strive to ensure this list is as complete as possible. The list will help inform the annual Principal’s Faculty Author Reception this March 30, and confirm library holdings.

You can view our current list on our Queen’s Authors page and submit additional items using our Report Your Publication form.

The first Principal’s Faculty Authors Celebration was held in the Fireplace Reading Room of Stauffer Library and recognized faculty authors who had published between 2014 and 2016. The inaugural event brought together faculty members from across the university, along with displays of many of the books those faculty members had published. Since then, these events have continued to be hosted annually by the Principal to recognize and celebrate faculty members who have published during the preceding year.

Due to pandemic concerns, this year’s event at the end of March will again occur virtually, but there are tentative plans to hold an in-person event in the Fireplace Reading Room in May. Please stay tuned to the library website and social media channels for further updates.
