Exhibit: Science Literacy Week

Location: Bracken Health Sciences Library, 18 Stuart St., Botterell Hall

Dates: Sept. 16-22

In celebration of Science Literacy Week, Bracken Health Sciences Library has an exhibit featuring books with the theme of patient safety. The selection delves into subjects such as technological advances (artificial intelligence, personalized medicine, and gene editing), patient-doctor communication, the drug industry, and doctors’ performance.

The exhibit also includes a one-minute paper submission, with a chance to win a prize! Visitors to the exhibit are asked to take a minute to fill in the short submission, answering questions regarding which book on display is of most interest, and how the book of interest and the topic of science literacy can be connected to improve patient safety. The winner of the paper submission will be announced in early October.
