Thrive Week 2020

Event Date:
Nov 2, 2020 to Nov 6, 2020
Event Location:
Virtual Event

This week, November 2-6, 2020, is Thrive week at Queens!

Thrive is a week of wellness activities and events, organized by Human Resources. The goal of this initiative is to increase education and communication on the topic of positive mental health and what it means to the Queen’s Community. We hope that by discovering new skills and resources to promote mental health and reduce stigma, we will be able to Thrive all year long!

The keynote speaker this year is Dane Jensen. Dane will host a 60-minute webinar on “Four allies in the fight against disillusionment”. He will look at what we can learn from elite performers in sports, business, and academia around where motivation comes from. With special focus on what we can do to stay motivated, connect to each other and how to keep in touch with what really matters. Dane will lead a discussion on practical techniques to keep ourselves and others motivated through the troughs including what we can learn from a crises, how to tap into four drivers of motivation under pressure, and how to process negative emotion and channel it into motivation and productive efforts.

We encourage everyone to participate in Thrive. For more information, including a full listing of events, dates, and how to register, check out the Thrive webpage.

We look forward to seeing you there!
