Accessibility at Bracken Health Sciences Library

Queen's University Library is committed to an inclusive community with accessible goods, services, and facilities that respect the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities.

The Library offers services, technology and accessible spaces for students, faculty and staff with disabilities. Many of these resources are provided by the Adaptive Technology Centre (ATC), located in room 120, Stauffer Library. Please consult the Adaptive Technology Centre website for details.

Access to Bracken Health Sciences Library

The Stuart Street entrance into Bracken Health Sciences Library is wheelchair accessible. This entrance is equipped automatic door openers.


There are metered accessible parking spaces available on Stuart Street in front of Botterell Hall.

Public Service Desk(s)

The Information Services Desk on the ground floor of the library is accessible and provides "split level" service.


There are computer pods throughout the Library that are accessible for wheelchair use.


Elevators in the library are wheelchair accessible. Elevators provide access to all floors in the library. Controls inside the elevators are Brailled.


There are accessible washrooms in the lower level of the Library. There is elevator access to the lower level. The main floor of Botterell Hall has accessible washrooms.
