Course Reserves for Students
For fall 2020, the library will be offering electronic reserves as most courses will be moving to remote delivery. Our regular print reserve service is not possible this fall due to Covid-19 guidelines on a 72-hour quarantine period for materials, and limitations on in-person campus activity.
On Tuesday, October 13, the library launched a controlled reserves reading room service only for courses that have been approved for on-campus delivery. This service is now provided in the Seminar Room at Stauffer Library. Please see our Reserve Reading Room page for more information.
Instructors select materials to be made available on electronic reserves. Students registered in a course can access the course readings directly through Ares or OnQ.
- Login to Ares.
- Enter your Queen's username and password to view the list of readings available for the courses in which you are currently enrolled.
- Select a course in the main menu in Ares click View Course.
- Select an item from the reading list click Show Details or View Item.
Note: Please ensure you have the up-to-date Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer to access electronic reserve items.
