Cairn is a collection of approximately 150 French-language full-text journals published by five European publishing houses (Belin, De Boek, La Découverte and Erès). The earliest full-text coverage begins with 2001 and goes to the present (with some exceptions where abstracts only are available for the most recent issue).

The primary subject areas covered by this collection are history, psychology, economics, political science and sociology. Over the next two years, titles will be added to the collection focussing on management, arts, literature, philosophy and religious studies.
