ERIC

ERIC (Education Resources Information Center), published by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education, is a database of citations with abstracts and other pertinent data related to teaching and research in education, complemented by links to more than 200,000 full-text non-journal documents. Coverage includes: journal articles, books, research syntheses, conference papers, technical reports, policy papers and other education-related materials.

ERIC amalgamates the contents of Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) and Resources in Education (RIE). CIJE indexes journals in the field of education, while RIE is an index to mainly unpublished resources in education, including manuscripts, project and technical reports, proceedings of conferences, exemplary school programs, and current research reports.

NOTE: The complete ERIC document collection, back to 1966, also is available on microfiche in the Education Library. The microfiche collection provides fulltext coverage of 92% of the material indexed in Resources in Education.
