Introduction

The majority of the RUSH requests are sent to the Cataloguing Unit by e-mail. These are received at a common e-mail address.

The e-mail address for this account is: rushcat@queensu.ca. The request form form for this has now been built into the Voyager OPAC interface, and the information about the book is derived from the record online.

To check for RUSH requests:

  1. From the Staffweb Page, select Queen's Web Email, or go directly to the page https://post.queensu.ca/mail/. This will bring up the web mail login screen.
  2. Enter the appropriate userid [rushcat] and password. Click on the login box.
  3. Open Inbox, and a list of mail will appear in date sequence.
  4. View the mail by clicking on each message.
  5. Print each request.
  6. Delete the mail request by clicking on Delete in the header of each individual message.
  7. You may also return to the Mail Index after all the messages have been viewed and printed, and place a check mark in the Sel box beside each message. Clicking on Delete Selected Messages will delete all of the messages at once.
  8. Use the Logout command in the header line to leave the web mail system.
  9. Close the web screen.
