Library Tour
The main floor of the library is known as CHEER (the Centre for Health Electronic Education Resources). The open-concept floorplan provides diverse seating and work areas, as well as access to several service points.

The library's two main service points are located ahead of the main entrance on the left side. The Access Services desk to the left is for checking out and returning library materials; assistance with library searches is available from the Reference desk to the right.

Located immediately to the right of the main entrance, you will see a bank of Quick Stop stations for quick stop access to the online catalogue and databases. A printer station is adjacent to the computer bar.
In order to print or photocopy, you will need a library copy card. Cards can be purchased from the Circulation desk. If you need to add value to your copy card, visit the value-add station to the left of the Circulation desk, near the stairway to the lower level. The photocopier is also located in this area.

Interactive computer pod tables are located next to the quick stop stations. These workstations provide additional hardware and software, as well as seating for longer browsing sessions.

The Reference collection can be found on the far side of the Reference desk. Check here for non-circulating reference materials. Just beyond the reference section is a laptop bar. Additional seating is located in this area, along with a number of group study rooms (right side of picture) and the e-lab at the far end of the library.

Group study rooms are reserved for health sciences students and faculty. They can be booked online through the library website.

The e-Laboratory is open during library hours. It is equipped with 24 laptop work stations, which are available for use when classes are not booked. The entire library is a wireless environment, allowing for laptop connections. Users may bring personal laptops.

The video conference facility is also located on the main floor, to the left of the entryway, at the back of the library.

The lower floor of Bracken is designated as quiet study space, and has a reading lounge as well as tables and individual study carrels. Print books and journals are also located on this level.
