Technical Reports

Technical reports are documents that describe the progress or results of scientific or technical research. They are issued in numbered series by government agencies, university departments or corporations.

Here are some of the principal resources for locating technical reports:

Standards & Codes

A standard is a "document that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose." (ISO, 2013) Standards that are incorporated into law or government regulations are often referred to as codes.

Book Reviews

Reviews are important tools for describing and evaluating books, both fiction and non-fiction. Reviews for popular books usually appear within a few days or months of publication. Reviews for scholarly books usually take longer and normally appear within a year or two of publication. Online databases have made finding reviews faster, but we have many print resources that will assist you to find book reviews.

Books & Ebooks

We have an extensive collection of print and electronic books (ebooks).

We have a large collection of printed books, both historical and current. Our on-campus print collection is distributed among multiple locations. If the item you are looking for is at a different campus location, in storage, at one of our Omni partner libraries, or is not part of our collection, you can request the item online.

Google Scholar

Google Scholar allows you to search across a wide range of academic literature in many disciplines. It draws on information from journal publishers, university repositories, and other websites that it has identified as scholarly.
