Expanding Alumni Access to Library Resources

Queen’s University Library (QUL) is giving alumni a new reason to celebrate. This week, QUL has officially launched expanded off-campus access to a selection of 21 electronic resources (e-resources) for all Queen’s alumni. All that’s required for access is a Queen's NetID and password. Alumni who don’t currently have NetID’s can create one by signing up for a Queen’s email address.

QUL is excited to be able to offer this expanded access to the alumni community toward sparking inquiry, facilitating discovery, and ultimately allowing our alumni to continue their journey of learning long after completing their program of study.

“Our alumni contribute tremendously to the vibrant university community here at Queen’s so it’s rewarding to provide a level of access to our e-resources that’s never been available before. This is something our Information Resources team have been working toward for some time, and we are pleased to be able to expand the portfolio of services we are able to offer to alumni,” says Meghan Burke, Metadata and Discovery Librarian.

The library is grateful to Queen’s University Information Technology Services (ITS) for their fruitful collaboration and technical expertise in making this initiative successful.
