We are pleased to officially announce that Ex Libris has been selected as the shared library services platform (LSP) provider for the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) Collaborative Futures project. Ex Libris will provide their Alma LSP and Primo discovery and delivery solution to thirteen of OCUL’s 21 member institutions, including Queen’s. Using a consortial instance Alma and Primo will allow us to work together with our Collaborative Futures partners in new ways, to share expertise and network level workflows, and to offer broader access to resources for the 340,000 students, faculty and staff working at participating institutions.

Further information about this project can be found on the OCUL website. You may also contact Sandra Morden, project manager of the Collaborative Futures Shared Library Services Platform (LSP) Project at Queen’s University Library for more information.

Throughout the project phases to date, we have already realized tremendous benefit from our partnerships, and we are confident that we are moving forward with the best LSP solution on the market today to support the library in providing enhanced service to the Queen’s community

commented Sandra Morden, who has been highly involved in the assessment and procurement process.

We look forward to implementing Ex Libris platforms and realizing the transformative improvements in service and workflow at the library promised by this software and our collaboration. We will continue to provide updates as we move forward.
