Celebrating Open Education Week

Open Education Week (#oeweek) is this week – every day until Friday.
This annual event is a celebration of the wonderful impact Open Education initiatives continue to have across subject fields and communities, and an opportunity for sharing, and learning about the latest innovations and achievements in Open Education worldwide.
Queen’s University Library will celebrate OE Week 2023 through a renewed call for proposals to fund creation of new Open Education Resources (OERs). The call for proposals is being launched today - Monday March 6, 2023. The deadline for proposals is April 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
The library has also launched a showcase of OERs created by Queen’s staff and faculty. If you have created an OER and want to include it in this showcase, email us a brief description of your resource and we will add it to the collection.
There are many OER related events happening across Ontario. Some highlights include:
- Ecampus Ontario OE Week 2023 Workshop Series (Happening all week)
- Toronto Metropolitan University Open Education Week Events (Happening from the 7th – 9th)
- Open2U: Introduction to Open Educational Resources: Removing Barriers from Within (University of Toronto Scarborough Campus – March 10 from 9:30-3:30)
