Queen’s University Library (QUL) is once again hiring several students for Work Study positions during the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 terms. Student Assistants are a vital part of the library, and ensure QUL locations continue to be a premier destination for research, study, and collaboration. In particular, Student Assistants are front-line ambassadors creating a welcoming environment, providing a high-level of responsiveness and expertise in day-to-day services, and enabling student success through access to resources and research help.
Applicants must be a Queen’s student who qualifies for the work-study program, and possesses excellent customer service skills. Shifts occur throughout all library operating hours and are usually 3 to 4.5 hours in length. Attention to detail, punctuality, dependability, and good organizational skills are important. Experience as a student using library resources and services is preferred but not essential. The current rate of pay is $16.55 per hour.
