Library Improves Print and Copy Services

If you’ve needed to print or copy documents at the library over the past year you’ve likely noticed a couple of things: that it’s been free, and the machines available for doing so were dated.

The library is excited to announce that the machines used for this important function have been recently replaced with brand new units that will improve speed, reliability, and ease of use for library patrons across all Queen’s University Library (QUL) locations.

All library patrons who wish to print, copy, or scan at the library are now able to do so from their own device, or by using library computers. To print or copy, you will need to add credit to your account on the PaperCut portal. Log in with your Queen's NetID to add credit using Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, or Mastercard Debit. Scanning to email remains free of charge. QUL is currently working to refund patrons who had credit remaining on their PrintQ account prior to the switch to the new machines and Papercut portal. Please check your Queen’s email and the QUL website regularly for updates.

If you are not a Queen's student, staff, or faculty member, you can ask at our information desks about a guest account for computers and printing.

Any unused balance on your account – including when you leave Queen’s or graduate – cannot be refunded, so patrons are advised to keep that in mind when adding credit for printing and copying.
