Snowed in? Stream Movies Through the Library!
Much like it’s sedimentary rock namesake, the latter stages of winter in the Limestone City are easily described: grey, cold, and damp. Whether you enjoy winter or not, it’s hard to deny the allure of staying indoors and enjoying the latest Hollywood blockbuster, or a longtime favourite from the comfort of your own couch.
Queen’s University Library (QUL) encourages students, faculty, and staff to utilize the excellent selection of film streaming platforms available with a Queen’s Net Id through the library. These platforms span everything from contemporary hits and classics, to niche historical, educational, and cultural features sure to please even the most discerning cinephile.
While far from a comprehensive list, the following platforms are likely to be of interest to the Queen’s community, especially those impacted by the recent crackdown of a certain streaming service on password sharing in Canada. To find and access the full selection of streaming platforms use the link above, or simply click Databases immediately under the Omni search bar on the library homepage, then search "film" in the Find a Database search bar. This will allow you to browse the full range of streaming options available through QUL.
