From A to Z(ine)

Event Date:
Oct 30, 2023
Event Location:
Graham George Room 608, W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections, Douglas Library

Please join us for a free, make your own zine workshop, From A to Z(ine), hosted by the W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections, Queen’s University Library.

A zine at its most basic is a DIY, small circulation, generally inexpensive, creative publication. They are uniquely accessible in that they can be made by anyone -- one needn’t be an artist or have any special training -- they can take any form in relation to a book and be about anything. Zine culture has a long history of inclusivity and social and political activism providing a safe space for marginalized contributors to express freely on their own terms. Workshop participants will have an opportunity to creatively highlight their interests and imaginations through both individual and collaborative zines.

This drop-in workshop will run Monday, October 30th, from 2pm to 5pm at W. D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections (the 6th/2nd floor of Douglas library).

Everyone welcome!
