Environmental Studies

The Environmental Studies liaison librarian is available for research consultation and can help you design research strategies, access key databases, effectively use the information resources of Queen’s University Library and beyond, and stay current in your field. 

Discipline and course specific research skill instruction can be provided. We also evaluate, purchase and make available teaching and research materials to support this program including books, journals and exhibition catalogues in print and/or electronic format, and databases, multimedia and streaming resources.

BIOSIS Previews

Publication coverage: 1926 - present

Life sciences and biomedical research covering pre-clinical and experimental research, methods and instrumentation, animal studies, and more.

Environment Complete

Publication coverage: Varies by title. 1940s to present.

GEOBASE consists of the latest information on the earth sciences, ecology, geology, human and physical geography, and environmental sciences, focusing on, and highlighting, the human and social impacts on both.

Oxford Reference Online - Science

A collection of 50 reference titles published by Oxford University Press. Includes dictionaries and encyclopedias (with over 210,000 entries) in the science and engineering disciplines.
